Anthropic Doubles Claude AI Usage Limits in Off-Peak Hours
In a bid to manage soaring demand and attract new users, AI company Anthropic has announced a limited-time promotion that doubles the usage limits for its Claude AI chatbot. The offer, which runs through March 27, 2026, applies to all users on Free, Pro, Max, and Team plans across web, desktop, and mobile platforms, including Claude Code and Excel integrations. However, the doubled capacity is only available during off-peak hours, specifically outside the window of 8 AM to 2 PM Eastern Time (5-11 AM Pacific Time). According to the company's official support page and multiple tech news outlets, this additional usage will not count toward a user's standard weekly limit, providing a significant, temporary boost in capacity. The move is seen as a strategic effort to alleviate server strain during peak times while giving users more flexibility. This promotion notably excludes Enterprise plan subscribers, whose usage terms remain unchanged.
