Israeli troops kill Palestinian father and infant in Hebron, video disputes army's account
Israeli soldiers shot dead 31‑year‑old Mahmoud Abu Haikal in Hebron hours before his newborn son arrived, and a week later killed his seven‑month‑old grandson, Sam, during a raid. Palestinian families and witnesses say the attacks were unprovoked, while the Israeli army claims the men posed a security threat. Newly released video shows the family’s car slowing before soldiers opened fire, contradicting the military’s statement that the baby was hit by stray bullets. The footage has intensified calls for an independent investigation and highlighted the growing tension over civilian casualties in the occupied West Bank.
