Congress Backs Trump on Iran Conflict, Rejects War Powers Measures

Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky joined Democrats in supporting the resolution, while Democratic Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania broke with his party to vote against it. The debate occurred amid rising US casualties and growing alarm among some lawmakers over the scale and authorization of the military action, which began with strikes ordered by Trump over the weekend.
